The SOALC Jerusalem Day Event

We would love to have you celebrate Jerusalem Day with us!

Asia/Jerusalem
Add to calendar:

Jerusalem. One city. One people. One extraordinary night.

Fifty-nine years ago, on the 28th of Iyar 1967, Israeli paratroopers stood at the Western Wall with tears streaming down their faces — and the world changed forever. After 2,000 years of longing, Jerusalem was reunified. Whole again.

Yom Yerushalayim — Jerusalem Day — is not just a date on the calendar. It is a reminder of what is possible when a people hold onto hope across generations. It is a moment to stand still, look at this miraculous city around us, and feel the weight and the wonder of living in this time, in this place.

And there is no better way to mark that miracle than together.

On Thursday night, May 14th, The Shabbat of a Lifetime community — our beloved hosts, melavim, and families — we would love for you to join us for an evening that moves the soul and feeds it too.

We'll lift our voices in a festive musical Tefila, share a warm communal BBQ under the Jerusalem sky, and then journey together "In the Footsteps of the 1967 Paratroopers" — reliving the breathtaking moments of liberation through rare pictures and film from the battle for Jerusalem.

This is our city. This is our story. Come celebrate it with us.
